Software Development Test Engineer
We are looking for smart, talented, independent software engineers to build and maintain appropriate test procedures.
As a Software Development Test Engineer (SDET) you will work as part of the development team to ensure that Strategic Mapping's software meets or exceeds quality, performance, and reliability standards. You will build software that, in turn, works to break the production code for the purpose of improving quality. The team's vision is to drive the quality upstream and test to ensure high quality code in the final product at launch. You must meet the same technical bar as SDEs with less emphasis on design and more emphasis on testing aptitude and expertise, and a passion for quality. You will be in charge of building test plans, use cases, and testing product in general.
Duties & Responsibilities- Participate in product requirement and design reviews .
- Contribute to the improvement of our test infrastructur.
- Develop and implement test plans.
- Develop and implement automated tests for functionality, load and performance testing.
- Experience in a software development environment.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Strong diagnostic, analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Web technologies; with an emphasis on SQL, Perl, Python,shell scripting, and C/C++ or Java.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; a graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred.
